Safeguard Your Business with Comprehensive Business Auto Insurance

Suppose your business uses vehicles regularly for operations like transporting clients and employees, delivering food and various goods, or traveling to meet clients. In that case, securing a commercial auto insurance policy is essential. Regular personal auto insurance does not cover incidents occurring during business operations and activities. The minimum required coverage is dictated by each state, and your business auto insurance must comply with liability insurance standards according to the state in which your company conducts business.

At GIA Group, we ensure your policy meets all necessary insurance requirements. Protect and support both your business and employees with a policy accommodating the unique risks during:

  • Delivery of flowers, packages, and other goods
  • Transporting supplies or employees for janitorial services
  • Using company cars for work duties and client visits
  • Food truck operations and deliveries
  • Retail and wholesale distribution
  • Nonprofit or religious organization vehicle use
  • For-hire livery
  • And many more

Business Auto Coverage

Commercial Auto Liability

Auto liability insurance is mandatory. If you are at fault in an accident, it covers injuries to other people or damage to their property. Commercial auto liability secures the driver’s medical bills as well as rehabilitation costs (Bodily Injury coverage) and covers the damage you cause to other vehicles and property (Property Damage coverage).

Please note that auto liability insurance is necessary for completing Federal, State, and Local filings.

Physical Damage coverage

Collision insurance covers either repair or replacement of your vehicle in case of an accident. It applies to ‘single-vehicle accidents’ such as hitting a tree or an electric pole, as well as any collisions with other cars and incidents while your vehicle is not moving (is parked). If your car is leased, your lender might also require collision coverage.

Comprehensive coverage protects your vehicle from other incidents – any unexpected non-collision events beyond your control: fire, theft, vandalism, glass damage, hail, animal collisions, and others. If you finance or lease your vehicle, your lender might require comprehensive insurance.

Uninsured/Underinsured motorist

The Uninsured/Underinsured motorist insurance covers incidents when a driver of a commercial auto gets into an accident, but the other driver is at fault and:

  • they don’t have auto liability insurance,
  • or their liability limits are not sufficient enough to cover your bodily injury or property damage,
  • or if the accident under consideration is a hit-and-run.

Depending on your state, you can select various options, including repair or replacement of your vehicle if required.

Medical payments

Medical Payments insurance covers the medical expenses for your passengers and you as a driver in cases of injuries, regardless of who is at fault for an accident. For Medical Payment coverage (or MedPay), you can choose a per-person limit. Please note this limit is the maximum amount your insurer will pay for each individual involved in an accident.

Roadside assistance

Roadside assistance coverage ensures you get help when you need it. It provides up to one hour of on-scene labor if a business auto suddenly breaks down. Roadside assistance includes towing, flat tire changes, locksmith services, required fuel delivery, and similar services. Currently, it is available in 40 states.

Hired auto

Hired auto insurance covers vehicles you lease, hire, or borrow to conduct business. If you or your employee has to drive a car not listed on your commercial auto insurance policy, the hired auto coverage extends your existing liability protection.

Non-owned auto

If your employees occasionally need to use their car for work duties – you can get non-owned auto coverage. Non-owned auto insurance extends your commercial auto liability coverage to give you and your employees extra protection during work errands.
